Paesagges, Finding Morandi

Paesagges, Finding Morandi, a transformational study of the late landscape paintings (1933-1964) of Bolognese painter Giorgio Morandi as he reached total abstraction in his vision, conceptualized in fresh works that embrace a vision of light and space postured from the coast of Maine. Culminating in large scale paintings and photographic abstractions, this project lends a critical component to questions concerning the interstice of realism and abstraction in contemporary painting.
